Software Test Engineer

As a  Software Test Engineer with HPT, you will take on testing responsibilities and code effective test scripts, per system requirements. You will own one or more specific functional areas and be responsible for testing those areas. You will accurately schedule and perform test automation assignments and identify, reproduce, document, and regress issues found. You will effectively drive issues to resolution in a variety of challenging situations. You will develop and enhance automated testing processes and evaluate new tools implementation. In addition, you will work within the overall Quality Assurance Process to help champion automation.

The ideal candidate should possess the minimum experience requirements:

• Network Knowledge - Familiar with IP multi-cast, bfp, ospf

• Scripting - TCL/TK, Expect, Perl

• Applications- Familiar with Ixia applications, Ixia TCL API knowledge for applications including ixLoad, ixChariot & ix TCLHal

• Multiple OS experience and ability to use various applications to achieve desired results

• Testing - Network traffic latency, loss, throughput etc.

• Ability to learn quickly, motivated to seek answers and achieve results independently as well as on a team

• Can Do and Whatever it takes attitude

• Ability to travel in and around the Santa Clara area
